Microsoft lifecam nx 6000 notebook webcam

I would put this came up to challenge Logitech's QuickCam Pro 2. If your thinking about it go ahead and buy it you wont be dissapointed. Cons: Although the clip fit my Toshiba Satellite laptop just fine this is one of the things I have heard the most complaints about some one needs to make a universal laptop clip for these cams and either sell it as an accessory or have everyone meke it a standard.

Overall Review: Nice case needed to be just a little bigger. But overall a great product. Pros: The most profound benefit is the LifeCam Software's built-in "Backlighting Enhancement" feature: finally a camera that I don't have to turn on every light in the room in order for the other person to see me.

I took a leap from Logitech over to MS for a high-res camera, and I am quite surprised and not going back to Logitech.

Another major benefit is, as with another review, barely fits my Dell E laptop's LCD so it sits up top. Cons: Just barely fits the E curved display. The LifeCam software was outdated by three versions! Make sure to download latest from MS.

Overall Review: Was using Vista. Unlike other reviews, the framerates through MSN Messenger and Yahoo Messenger is extremely high with both parties behind firewalls. Others don't seem to realize it's all up to the firewall types, connection, and other things that effect the framerates - not the camera or drivers itself. Also the cord is much longer then another reviews comment. It's about 3' long, so ignore theirs. Pros: It works, it's small, and has a really cool case.

I like the short cord. The pros outweigh the cons but Microsoft should be able to have perfect driver support for their own products. Cons: The picture is very grainy compared to other cameras I've used.

I've downloaded the latest drivers from Microsoft. Because Vista 64 bit is notorious for not having many driver support I expected it. When I do the automatic update it says the driver is not found. That's even after I installed the driver. The camera works fine and properly appears in the device manager, but it's annoying to press cancel each time I boot up.

When I press ignore, it disconnects it. C'mon Microsoft, this is your own product. Get it together. Hopefully that'll fix ALL I know, wishful thinking driver issues.

Pros: Works with Vista. I downloaded the latest driver from www. Installed on Vista without a problem. Nice picture. Retracting into housing protects the lens. Carrying case is nice. I actually like the short cord. Cons: The clip is one size fits all. The clip is not wide enough for my ThinkPad T Mounting is difficult. Overall Review: Only tried with Windows Messenger. I have not tried other IM clients yet. Sold by: Newegg Shipped by Newegg.

Windows Live Photo Gallery Easily upload a photo that you can edit, tag, and share with friends and family. Windows Live Call Button It's simple to start video calls. I used a USB extension cable I had laying around and it works great with that, just be warned.

Pros: We purchased two of these little OEM beauties and are very happy with both of them. Say what you will about MS, they have setups down to a science. Newegg had them to us in just a few days we live well off the beaten trail and we had them up and running on both machines Dell 's in less than an hour. They come with a well-padded little case that's about the size of a 35mm film can remember those?

However, if saving a dozen or more dollars is more important to you than a wrapper that you're gonna toss anyway, I'd highly recommend it. Oh yeah; Newegg Rocks!! Cons: Little bit of challenge to attach to the top of laptop monitor, it is an IBM T-series and the edge is not flat.

Could put it on the edge, but the software does allow for adjustment. Overall Review: With a little work it mounts to the corner. Video quality is great, as you can expect higher the resolution the slower the frame rate. Overall, I am pleased with the camera, though I would consider a better webcam that has a better mount in I had to do it again, as the mount is not designed for irregular surfaces. Pros: Low price, high-quality, high resolution, built-in mic. Perfectly designed for use with laptops.

Cons: Only if you plan on using this with a desktop, this camera is designed primarily for laptops. Overall Review: If you plan to use it with a desktop, you will probably need to get an USB extention cable or hub. You also need come up with a means to mount it.

A double-sided adhesive or epoxy, a piece of material to clip the camera on and some creativity. Pros: This is a very sleek design. The camera has a spring loaded pop that is actually really cool. The brushed steel on the front is pleasing to the touch as well. Performs very well in low light conditions. Like, 1ft short. For laptops, its great. You dont have a lot of clutter to wrap around, but for anything else, it makes it useless.

I havent found out a way to get it to grip on a regular basis yet, and that is why it lost a star. That and the cord. Cons: it doesn't have original ms package because ,it is just my guess,it's not retail product. Cons: Mine had terrible focus when it arrived. Couldn't make out a pupil in the eye. Tore the facia off of the cam and adjusted the focus to my satisfaction. Overall Review: Tilt the head all the way, pick and peel back the black facia piece where it says 2.

Use a small tool to spin the focus ring. Sold by: Newegg Shipped by Newegg. Learn More. This item is currently out of stock and it may or may not be restocked. Out of Stock. Add To Wish List. Are you an E-Blast Insider?
